La Martina launches LM Academy in Dusseldorf
La Martina launched the first LM Academy last in Düsseldorf, with the occasion marking the 30th anniversary of the polo brand.
The event saw 30 guests attend a lecture given by Lando Simonetti, founder & chairman of La Martina, at the brand’s headquarters in Düsseldorf, a four-story villa on the Rhine. The idea behind the VIP networking event is to bring the international brand closer to its VIP guests and media. Lando Simonetti spoke about the brand’s ethos and future, saying, “The world has changed and we have to adapt to the technology. The true art lies in letting technology work for you and not against you. In this area, too, we are working with top universities to achieve the best success. I need good people who can carry out the digital revolution for me; I come from a different generation. Terms like database, social media and e-commerce take on an increasingly important role as companies are becoming slimmer and above all, faster.”
“For us, polo is about much more than nurturing a brand, we are polo. The community is unique. We deliver the best equipment in the world and carry out over 150 polo events worldwide,” he continued.
